Dual Purpose Sports Hall at Adamstown to Open September 2011 - Curran
It is expected that works will commence on the development of a Community Centre and Sports Hall at Adamstown in Spring 2011, according to Minister and local Fianna Fáil T.D. John Curran.
Welcoming this commitment from Castlethorn Construction Minister Curran said; “Castlethorn Construction has confirmed that they remain committed to the delivery of the Adamstown Castle Community Centre and incorporated Sports Facilities. It is good news for the people of Adamstown that commitment to this invaluable project remains and work will begin on the development of these facilities as soon as funding is provided.
“It remains the intention of Castlethorn Construction to proceed with the project as soon as the funding environment permits. It is now expected that works will commence on the project in spring 2011 and that the Community Centre will be completed in time for an opening date of September 2011.
“In the interim the VEC have confirmed they will continue its temporary use of the St John the Evangelist National School GP hall. In addition, the Adamstown playing pitches, located adjacent to the Park & Ride facility will be ready for use from next September 2010 and will allow for School use,” concluded Minister Curran.
