Searching Register of Electors- Search the electoral register by entering the Surname, First name, House Number and Street name for a voter. If your house has a number then you must enter it. The search will match exact spellings of your surname and first name as recorded on the register. For example; although you may be known as 'Mike' by family and friends you may be formally recorded on the register as 'Michael' so care needs to be given to what you enter in your search. You can however perform the search as often as you like changing the search to known variations of your name. At least three letters should be entered in the street field. For example; if you live on a street or estate known as 'Riverview' you may enter 'Riv' as your search field. This is useful as your address recorded on the register could be 'Riverview' (as a single word) or 'River View' (as two words) or even 'River View Estate' (as three words). In this example either Riverview or River View or River View Estate will be found by entering 'riv'. A full example - 'Blogg' in the Surname field, 'Joe' in the first name field, '6' in the house number field and 'Bee' in the street field will return Joe Blogg living at No 6 and the street name starting with 'Bee'. The search will return the name, address, election type, and the polling station for each individual. Clicking on the Map icon will plot the polling station in the mapping application. If you are not registered to vote and wish to be included in the Final Register of Electors 2009/2010 you may download form RFA1. Completed form must be returned to your local authority on or before 25th November 2008. |
